The Benin City gang are back with Accelerate, which follows on from the beautiful Baby. The energy this track generates is enough to power a small caribbean island; real talk.
Once again, frontman Josh Idehen is on vocal duties, with lyrical delicacies as standard, while backed by an all out instrumental melee combining everything from drums, synths and the most explosive horns I’ve heard in a while!
I think the release is timed perfectly as I’m sure the Olympians would appreciate this in their headphones as they psych themselves up in the fight for gold. Failing that, Notting Hill carnival is only a few weeks away.
Accelerate is released next month via Audio Doughnuts. Remixes soon come.
